Access to water and sanitation in Cameroon, as in most African countries problems arise not only in terms of availability of resources but also in terms of managing them. It is then necessary that deep reforms in management practices are needed to improve access to clean water and sanitation to the whole population, if not the majority.
On the 26 of August Afriwater CoP Secretariat met in Lome, Togo for a strategic Meeting to set the direction of the network. Hosted by JVE International, the meeting took two days, the 26th and 27th August culminating in the launch of the Africa Water Community of Practice (AfriWater CoP) and the secretariat office on the 28th August.
The 10th edition of the Cultural Biodiversity Week will be held at Tsiko, from the 10th to the 17th August 2014.
According to the 2nd Article of the Biological Diversity Convention, adopted on May 22, 1992 the term "biodiversity" is "the variability among the living organisms from all sources including, earth , marine ecosystems and other aquatic ecosystems and the ecological complexes of which they are part of: this includes diversity within species, between species and of ecosystems. "
